Shower and Ultrasound for Lynn’s Baby

My dear little Baby Girl.  Grandma has some catching up to do!!  Your Momma had another shower and Grandma, Auntie Laura and Auntie Kari got to go to that one too.  Even though it was for your Momma's friends.  We feel pretty special being invited to all the showers!!  It was fun for Grandma to see all of your Momma's old friends and to meet her new friends.  Rachel gave you such a nice shower.  She is a pretty special woman.  You are going to love her when you get to know her!

Your Momma had to have another ultra sound today.  This one wasn't as much fun as the last one.  Grandma has felt sad in my heart that I couldn't be with your Momma to help her through it.  The only good thing about it was she told me that she got to see you again.  It looks like everything is fine.  We are just waiting to hear the final word tomorrow from the Midwife.  We are all so anxious for you to arrive.  Grown ups are always telling children to be patient, but I think we grown ups are pretty impatient for you to be born.  I guess we should take our own advice!!

Grandma is praying so hard for you and your Momma.  For you to arrive safely and for your Momma to have the strength and courage to help you into this world we live in.  I know that after you are here the time will just fly by for us.  We will look back on this waiting time and can't believe that it is over.

So for now, Grandma has to ask God to give me patience as I wait for you to be born.  God will do it too.  Because God is like that!  He gives us all the good gifts in the world like love and patience, just because He loves us and care about us so much.

Autie Kari just came home from her friend's house.  Her friend's name is Katy McCrady.  Grandma loves that name.  I think it would make a good name for a girl in a book.  Maybe someday you and Grandma can make up a story about a little girl and we can call the girl Katy McCrady.  :)  That would be fun!  Another name I like is from a little boy at the school Grandma used to work at.  His name was Jack Boylan.  Grandma thinks that name sounds like a detective.  We could make a story up about a boy who is a detective and we could call him Jack Boylan.

Oh, little baby, there is so much to look forward too!!

Rest well, little one.  Grow strong and we will see you soon.

Love,

Grandma
